New Airport Road, Auburn, Placer County, California, 95602
Located about three miles north of Auburn is the Auburn Municipal Airport. The airport was built in 1934 for the original purpose of supporting mail service until 1964. Now the Auburn Municipal Airport houses Sunshine Flyers Flight School, an Aviation Airport Shop, Mach 5 Aviation, Inc., which provides aircraft maintenance, rentals, and flight training, and the Gyro house. The airport covers 285 acres and currently houses one runway.
