University of the Pacific is a private university housing its main campus in Stockton, California. Sacramento houses a graduate campus. The school is Methodist-affiliated. It was originally founded in 1851 as the California Wesleyan College, but just a month later, the name was changed to the University of the Pacific. The Sacramento Campus sits on 13-acres of land and houses graduate and professional programs including a degree completion program in the Oak Park neighborhood which is found south of Downtown Sacramento. This campus also includes the McGeorge School of Law which is the only law school which has been approved by the ABA (American Bar Association) in Sacramento County.
