The University of California, Davis is a research university near Davis, California. Of the ten campuses in the University of California system, the University of California, Davis is the northernmost campus. The school houses multiple graduate studies including a school of management, a school of education, a school of law, a school of medicine, and others. The school was founded in 1905 as University Farm before changing its name to Northern Branch of the College of Agriculture in 1922 and again to College of Agriculture at Davis in 1938. It was officially named the University of California, Davis in 1959.
