Pocket-Greenhaven, Sacramento, Sacramento County, California
Also known as The Pocket, Pocket-Greenhaven is a suburban community about 5 miles south of Downtown Sacramento. Before being settled, the area was full of forest and trees growing beside the river. By 1963, many homes had been completed, and the area was growing quickly. However, the majority of building came during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Now, the Pocket-Greenhaven area, rather than being full of forested area, is dense with suburban housing which surrounds the semicircular bend of the Sacramento River.
