Located over the lower banks of the American River, the Fair Oaks Bridge connects Fair Oaks to the greater Sacramento region. It is a truss bridge that was build between 1907 and 1909. It is currently only availably to pedestrian and bicycle crossings. This bridge is the third manifestations of an overpass that crosses the American River, connecting Fair Oaks to the greater Sacramento area. It currently serves as a cultural icon for the community nearby.
