William Land Park, Sacramento, Sacramento County, California
Often referred to as “Land Park,” William Land Park is located in Sacramento, California between Interstate 5 and State Route 160. It is named after William Land, a pioneer who built the western hotel. Within the park are several attractions including the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale town, The William Land Golf Course, and Funderland, a smaller park containing multiple carnival rides that are primarily used by young children. The term Land Park is also used to refer to the surrounding neighborhoods as well. One landmark in the surrounding neighborhood is Vic’s Ice Cream, a popular ice cream shop.
